body and movement

To celebrate its 30th anniversary, the Parcours de l'Art wanted to celebrate the body and movement.

This spectacular Olympic edition was an opportunity for artists to question the body in all its states, not a competition but a friction of multiple works, an echo of our plural world.

Individual bodies evolving within the vast collective body, bodies evoked, represented, filmed, absent, dancing, singing, performative, political and poetic, which become language. Multiple and diverse bodies bearing stories brought to light by the artists and their talents.

The bodies also celebrated the wonderful collective adventure of Parcours de l’art, a network of passionate volunteers who, over the years and decades, have proudly and powerfully championed art at the heart of our city. Thanks to increasingly diverse funding and growing patronage, Parcours de l’art is becoming more professional: increased remuneration for artists, exhibition spaces, events, and outreach programs.

And because a festival without creation is not really a festival, Parcours de l’art hosted three artist residencies this year, including an in situ creation, throughout the festival at the Cordeliers chapel.
