the FIRST ART COMMISSION

Thanks to the DRAC PACA Festival Aid obtained for this edition, the Parcours de l'Art was proud to present its first in-situ artistic commission, in collaboration with art students.

Jean-Dominique Ferrucci and Michel Lauricella are accustomed to working on the relationship between humans and other living forms, whether animal or plant. For this commission, their inspiration drew from the imagery of our relationship with water. During their wanderings through the streets of Avignon, they absorbed historical and sacred atmospheres, using urban displays with both banality and audacity.

Building on this artistic research, the Aorte collective created large-format murals in the streets of the city center. A dozen collages were produced and adorned Avignon throughout the duration of Parcours de l’art.
