Originally from Portugal, Cristiano Codeço De Amorim lives and works in Bordeaux. A graduate of ebabx in 2022, he develops a transdisciplinary practice blending video, performance, installation, drawing, sculpture, and writing. Winner of the Utopi·e and BEAM x ebabx prizes in 2024, he exhibits in France and internationally. In 2025, he presented his first solo exhibition and joined the collection of the Frac Poitou-Charentes.

Cristiano Codeço De Amorim develops an autobiographical and transdisciplinary practice centered on memory, the politics of desire, masculinities, and the femininity of so-called male bodies. His work explores the tensions between intimacy and social structures, questioning the spaces where these bodies are tolerated without being fully welcomed. His video Only Fems (2025) highlights a conditional hospitality: one that permits femininity in fantasy but denies it in public recognition. Echoing "Hospitalities," this work envisions welcome as an encounter that transforms each individual, opening spaces where vulnerability and desire become forces of connection.
