Perfumes - Celestins Church
Considering perfume as an art form in its own right, Sandra Barré has curated an olfactory program for this edition of Hospitalités, inviting four perfumers. Through sensitive and immersive atmospheres, she explores a multifaceted hospitality, between welcoming and moving, familiar and unfamiliar. Perfume thus becomes an aesthetic experience that questions and evokes the different forms of hospitality.
Amélie Bourgeois & Anne-Sophie Behaghel
Amélie Bourgeois and Anne-Sophie Behaghel are perfumers and co-founders of Studio Flair in Paris. Complementary in their creativity, Amélie Bourgeois develops a delicate and nuanced perfumery, deeply rooted in naturalness, while Anne-Sophie Behaghel cultivates an aesthetic of contrast, fusing synthetic molecules and natural ingredients in a resolutely experimental perfumery. For the Art Trail, they will offer a collaborative olfactory hospitality experience.
Lucille Lefrang
Lucille Lefrang, an independent perfumer based in Grenoble, develops a practice at the crossroads of creation and research. A 2018 graduate of the École Supérieure du Parfum in Paris, she is currently pursuing a master's degree in art history at the Université Grenoble Alpes. Her work explores scent as an artistic medium and draws on her training in botany and ethnobotany, as well as collaborations with visual artists, researchers, and cultural institutions.
Mathilde Laurent
Cartier's in-house perfumer since 2005, and the first woman to hold this position, Mathilde Laurent dedicates her work to elevating perfumery to the level of fine art. She imbues each creation with a poetic and sacred dimension, affirming the uplifting power of the sense of smell. The Haute Parfumerie experiences she designs extract the fragrance from its bottle, giving it a truly artistic presence.
